Operating sustainably, working in a clean and healthy environment, using organic materials and products, promoting natural ecosystems – these are all goals that are espoused by most of today’s modern and emerging companies, no matter their product or service. The basic objective for the Mindong New Industry Park project was to create a flexible work environment that embodies these qualities.
The planning consists of a series of lowrise manufacturing buildings grouped in pairs, and informally distributed in a natural landscape. A loading and service spine runs through the middle of the site, while tenants’ individual entrances are situated along the periphery. The project’s main feature is a raised landscape covering the service spine, transforming the industrial site into a quiet, green park.
Meanwhile, the project’s outer face presents a quiet and clean, natural impression towards the surrounding neightborhood. Besides the ample landscape, the buildings themselves evoke the natural. Their massing and facade designs are softened and casual, with earthy colors that fade in color and texture as they rise from the ground.
