DECOSTER STORE CONCEPT
Design: SILO Studio (JSA Architects)
Locations: Beijing Guomao, Shanghai Gaodaowu, Hong Kong Plaza, & elsewhere (Venues Closed)
Project Year: 2012
As is often the case in the fashion industry, the Decoster brand was in a state of flux when we first became involved. Though successful in the past, they were seeking to move forward and reinvent. Their design leadership had recently been restructured, young new talent was being recruited, they were mulling spinning off a new brand, as well as trying out a new line of home products, and they wanted to create a stronger image to bring some coherence and clarity to their retail locations.
This concept, which was implemented in around 6 China locations was the first attempt in an ongoing collaboration, evolution and development.
