ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN / ADAPTIVE REUSE

JSA’s architectural experience varies in scale and type, and we are eager to apply our design expertise to new building types when the opportunity arises, large or small.

On smaller to medium-sized projects, we can help our clients in all aspects of their project, from pre-design, concept development, through to construction administration and beyond. For larger scale projects, we can take on various roles as needed, either leading overall design direction, or plugging in as consultants to provide specific services.

Much of our recent work are adaptive use projects, which are of special interest to us. These projects are usually at a scale that we can help our clients manage the complete project – community planning, architectural design, landscape, as well as interiors – both the design and execution. They also provide the opportunity to work deep within the city or other special sites, with their unique histories, culture, and physical environment.
